Volunteers, donors and patrons are needed to help us keep the doors open. Spotlight is a non-profit 501c3 organization. Spotlight has produced major shows like Les Miserables, The Sound of Music, Rent, Green Day’s American Idiot, Cabaret, The Diary of Anne Frank, and Romeo and Juliet. Spotlight produces quality shows that are not just children’s theatre, but “real” theatre in all genres. An average of 9,000 people attend our shows each season. (Live performances may be subject to change under Provincial guidelines, if live theatre is not permitted, shows will be recorded and shared) Based on the legendary, multi-award-winning, musical comedy classic about rolling the dice and falling in love under the lights of. In the last three seasons alone, Spotlight productions, performers, and artists received 401 nominations for regional theater awards, winning 126 of them. SYT has won more awards than any other theatre, youth or adult, in all of AZ! The Senior Cast (12-18 year-olds) perform three times on the last weekend in July (July 29-31, 2022). The Junior Cast (6-11 year-olds) perform twice for the general public mid July (Sat., July 16, 2022). All cast and crew are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances unless they have an excused absence approved by the director. Parents should park in the NW lot and use door #9.
